I bring over two decades of diverse professional experience, with a deep passion and focus on education. Born in Chile, I am proud of my mixed heritage, being half Spanish and half French. At 16, I moved to Pennsylvania as a Rotary Exchange Student and graduated from Greater Latrobe High School. Eleven years ago, I made the United States my permanent home and have since enjoyed extensive travel to many countries, further enriching my cultural perspectives.
My family remains in Chile, and I treasure my connections with them, including my two precious nieces, Amanda and Ema. I do love my friends… They are my chosen family. My love for traveling, languages, singing, and all forms of art, are central to my life. I am fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French, which enhances my ability to connect with diverse communities.
Professionally, I have held numerous roles in education. Most recently, I was offered the position of Interim Principal at ASPIRA APHS, where I previously served as Vice Principal. In the past years, I have also been the MTSS Coordinator, ELL Coordinator, and Spanish Teacher. My career includes teaching positions at Lycée Internationale de Dorval in Canada and Highland Community School District in Iowa, among others.
My core competencies include leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organization, conflict resolution, team building, and flexibility. I hold a Master’s Degree in Spanish-English Linguistics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Public Relations. My educational background also includes alternative teaching licensure and numerous seminars and workshops in international education, immersion programs, and self-growth.
I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and positive school environment, always striving to inspire both students and staff. My commitment to education and passion for cultural exchange continue to drive my efforts in shaping future generations.
