Mr. Néstor Corona
Principal

Mr. Corona was born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico. He moved to the United States in 1999. Prior to becoming the Principal, Mr. Corona served as a Math Teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal at Aspira Antonia Pantoja High School. Mr. Corona earned his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), and a Master’s in Education from Chicago State University. He is expected to graduate in December of 2019 from NIEU with his Master’s in school leadership.

Mr. Corona enjoys music, painting, and dancing. He has danced flamenco professionally with Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theater company in Chicago and he also was part of the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago.

Mr. Michael Orosa
Assistant Principal

Mr. Orosa was born in Chicago and raised in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. Prior to serving as the Assistant Principal. Mr. Orosa was previously the Dean of Academics at Pantoja and the Senior English teacher at Pantoja’s sister school, Aspira Early College High School. He has also taught throughout Chicago Public Schools. Mr. Orosa earned his teaching degree in 2012, and his Master’s in Instructional Leadership in 2016 at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Orosa recently earned his Master’s in School Leadership at Northeastern Illinois University. He is a licensed Reading Specialist/Literacy Coach, with endorsements in Middle School Teaching and English as a Second Language.

When not at Pantoja, Mr. Orosa enjoys travelling, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and two sons. Mr. Orosa has also been a Filipino Cultural Dancer for the past 15 years.

Mr Gustavo Oliveri
Dean of Students

Mr. Oliveri is the son of immigrant parents born in Bogota, Colombia. He was raised in the Northside of Chicago. Mr. Oliveri graduated from Lane Tech College Prep and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to becoming part of the administration team at Pantoja, Mr. Oliveri served as a counselor/mentor here at the school for the past 6 years.
